Statement of Faith
We are an interdenominational youth ministry, with a desire to see all young people know the Love of God, grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and show others all that God has created them to be
- We believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God.
- We believe in the Trinity- That God is eternal 3 persons in one; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless and perfect life, His atoning death on the cross, the resurrection of His body, and that He is seated at the right hand of God the Father.
- We believe that personal salvation comes only by faith in the shed blood of Christ on the cross as an atonement for our sin.
- We believe in the resurrection of the dead - they that know God into eternal life with Him, and they that do not know God into eternal judgment and punishment.
- We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ.
- We believe in the Holy Spirit, through which we are able to lead a Godly life.
- We believe in the return of Jesus Christ in all His glory to raise the living and the dead and receive the Church unto Himself.
Our desire is to show the Gospel to young people through our relationships with them, living alongside them, and encouraging them in their own personal journey of faith in Jesus Christ.
We will not be involved in debating issues of faith which divide the church into different denominations (ie. Baptism, predestination, etc.), but instead hope to focus on the Great love we can know from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The History of Skybacher Ministries
The dream of Skybacher Ministries Inc. started before I was even born. The concept of Skybacher started in my days as a youth. Growing up as a child I had a severe leg injury, and my mom encouraged me to draw pictures of what I saw myself doing when God had healed me. I drew pictures of myself playing soccer, running around, jumping and doing all of the things that I knew God had created me to do. I carried that tradition into high school. And on the morning of December 6th, 1991 (In Theme Writing Class) the day of my 1st basketball game of my junior year in which I would start as the center, I drew myself again being all that God had created me to be. Now I have never dunked a basketball in my life (except for that time in the backyard on the 9 ft hoop with a mini-ball) but in that small little cartoon I could picture myself giving my all and doing the best I could against a 6′6″ giant. I’ve always been a little self conscious about the size of my nose, but in the cartoons, it became something that was my trademark - something that I was no longer ashamed of.
“For you created my inmost being you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” “All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:13, 16
Each game after that I drew a cartoon. Sure they included a lot of poor high school humor and sometimes were a little egotistical, but what they really did, was help me see myself for who God had created me to be. I continue to occasionally draw them today (only now they are of me standing strong in the delivery room, or flexing my muscles as I change diapers).
On July 27, 2004 Skybacher Ministries became incorporated. Our hope and dream for the ministry was to see young people be all that God made them to be. It was our desire to see young people find their “Skybacher” their dream, vision, purpose for who and why God created them. Thus, Skybacher Ministries Inc. was born.
We are so thankful to so many friends and family, and churches like Unionville United Methodist, who have taken chances on us and supported us in our beginning stages. We held our first program on November 17, 2004 with a volleyball tournament, and have continued to offer one program a month to the area churches. We are committed to helping the youth in this area of Beaver County become all that God has created them to be, to find their Skybacher.
