West Side Does It Again!! Four In A Row!!

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

We just finished up our fourth Flag Football Frenzy Tournament and the results were similar to the last 3.  It was an unbelievable day for football.  There were 7 teams that entered.  The Kings tried to go for their 3rd straight tournament victory but came up short.  The Flaming Chickens and Mike is Huge showed a lot of heart.  The Claytons, and Souled out made great runs as well, but in the end it came down to the same 2 teams as last year, C-way and West Side.  C-way had perservered all day as injuries piled up on their sideline, but they battled their way to the championship only to see West Side steal victory again!  Congratulations to West Side you truly are a Flag Football Dynasty!!!  It was a great tournament that saw some of the best sportsmanship we’ve seen at any tournament.  We also saw some amazing plays and unfortunately a lot of blood, but another great tournament in the books.  See you at volleyball.

The Kings Rule Again at The Pumpkin Blast!!

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

Last night we held our 12th dodgeball tournament.  There was a lot of great action as always from the 8 teams that participated.  There were a few scary costumes, some painted hair, a couple of blind refs, and even Darth Vader.  When it came to the playoffs things really heated up.   Former Champions West Side continued with their usual dominance throughout the tournament, while The Kings and The Slayerz met up for a huge semi-final match-up.  Both teams took John’s message on being rebels a little too seriously but in the end The Kings won a trip to the finals and they eliminated West Side in an overtime match.  Congratulations to The Kings for their first ever Dodgeball win, and their second tournament win in a row.  Also congratulations to the Freedom Fighters for their team theme victory!! See you at Flag Football!!!

“The Kings” are Crowned Kickball Champions!

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

We just finished up our first ever Skybacher Ministries Kickball Kickoff.  It was so much fun.  We had four teams.  Ambridge Ambush, The Lanky Midgets from Ohio UP, West Side, and The Kings.  There was a lot of great kickball action, but in the end and just before dark, The Kings beat West Side for the title.  The Kings took home the crown without losing a game and with some great leadership from their team captain Vince Trombetto, who had an inside the park home-run.  I had a blast since the action wasn’t so intense that I actually could talk to people.  We will definitely do this one again.  Congratulations to “The Kings” of Kickball!  Click here for more photos of this event!!
