It’s Official Basketball Camp Has Begun!!
It’s here!!! Skybacher Basketball Camp started today!! Thirty-nine kids helped to make it official. Mr. John welcomed everyone, Miss Kristie introduced the counselors starting line up style, and J-Mo shared about the faith focus for the day, which was LOVE. We did a few drills, had a crazy relay race to see what it means to really Love, ate some Goldfish for snack, and played a little basketball too! Great first day! Don’t forget to show some Love!

Xtreme Campfire this Wednesday at the Mohrbacher’s
We’re not sure what we were thinking planning a campfire this week with all of the camps going on, but we did. Anyone in jr. high through high school can come out this Wednesday night from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. We’ll probably be in bed sleeping so don’t play in the fire!!! Just kidding!!! Come on out and bring a friend!!
Skybacher Ministries Summer Events
School is out!!! Wahoo! We’re just as excited as you are at Skybacher Ministries. We’ve got a great summer of events planned ahead filled with campfires, pirate games, sports camps, disc golf and more! Any one in 5th grade and above can come out to any of the events. We are looking forward to having a great summer and hope to see many of you.
June 12 - Pirate Game
June 17 – Taste N.C. Campfire @ the Mohrbacher’s
July 2 – Taste N.C. Camfire @ the Mohrbacher’s
July 11 – Pittsburgh Motor Speedway (Leave the church @ 5:30 pm)
Aug. 7 – Camp Banquet – any summer camp staff (Pool Party afterward)
Aug. 12 – Fun Fore All – Final Summer Gathering (Leave church 6:30 pm)
The B-Town Ballers Slam the Competition!
This past Saturday Skybacher Ministries had it’s annual 3-on-3 Slam basketball tournament. It was an incredibly beautiful day for basketball. Four teams entered the Jr. High Division with The Jr. Tigers from Beaver Falls going undefeated and winning the Jr. Trophy. In the Sr. Division 8 teams battled it out. There was a lot of great basketball, close competition, and more shots fell than one might expect with strong winds and double rims. West Side and the Kings both entered, but this time neither team would take home the title. The Championship game found the #3 seeded Tigers against the #8 seeded B-Town Ballers. The B-town Ballers pulled 2 big upsets to get to the championship and the Tigers grinded their way to impressive victories throughout the tournament. In the end neither team seemed willing to give in as the game was pushed to the limit. A winning 3 point shot from the B-Town Ballers gave the Cinderella Story the victory. Congratulations to all of the teams that participated. It was a great tournament. Also we’d like to recognize C-Way as the winners of the Eat-N-Park sportsmanship award! Next up is the Ultra Ultimate Frisbee Tournament on May 17th.

Great Big Group Valentine’s Date!
Sunday FEBRUARY 22nd Skybacher Ministries heads to the slopes of Wildwood Highlands for our annual Great Big Group Date. We will have all you can eat WINGS, and PIZZA, along with 3 HOURS of SNOW TUBING, for only $20. We will be meeting at the church 3:15 p.m. Call Kristie at 724.846.1776 for more information.
