Skybacher Ministries Summer Events
School is out!!! Wahoo! We’re just as excited as you are at Skybacher Ministries. We’ve got a great summer of events planned ahead filled with campfires, pirate games, sports camps, disc golf and more! Any one in 5th grade and above can come out to any of the events. We are looking forward to having a great summer and hope to see many of you.
June 12 - Pirate Game
June 17 – Taste N.C. Campfire @ the Mohrbacher’s
July 2 – Taste N.C. Camfire @ the Mohrbacher’s
July 11 – Pittsburgh Motor Speedway (Leave the church @ 5:30 pm)
Aug. 7 – Camp Banquet – any summer camp staff (Pool Party afterward)
Aug. 12 – Fun Fore All – Final Summer Gathering (Leave church 6:30 pm)
The Streak Continues…
Our Whip-It tournament might have had a small number of teams, but fun was had by all! The streak continues for West Sides’ domination of tournaments this year – they remained undefeated throughout the evening. Great job guys and girls from West Side!! We also awarded the Kings our Eat n Park “Make You Smile” award – they have come a long way in sportsmanship and attitude, and have been represented at nearly every tournament Skybacher Ministries has held!
2 Exciting Football Possibilities From Skybacher Ministries
This fall Skybacher Ministries will once again be starting a fantasy football league. We will have the information for that up soon. Also after the success of the Disc Golf League we are going to try the first ever Wii Madden League. Stay tuned for further information on both of these exciting opportunities.
The Hangar Gets a New T.V.!
This past Saturday the Hangar got a new addition. A huge 52 in. big screen t.v. Now we can really get some great games of Super Smash Bros. going, watch the Steeler games, and catch all of our Oprah fix. (WHAT?) A huge thanks to Mr. Dan Clemens the one who donated the t.v. You have truly blessed Skybacher Ministries Inc. with your generosity. Here are some photos of the new addition!
First Disc Golf Action of the Season
The Lane 7 crew got out for it’s first disc golf action of the season. The results remained much the same as last season as Cody Williams continued his dominance with a 71. Yours truly shot a 72, and Nick followed up with a 73. We will definitely be going out again soon, and hopefully the course will dry out a little in the mean time as it was a total mudpit.
