Hangtime K-2 Going Great!!!
Our K-2 program has been doing great in the first 2 weeks of our basketball program – the kids are working hard on all those fundamentals!! We had our first try at real games tonight and they went pretty well considering how many kids are brand new to the sport – we are excited for the next 2 weeks for them to continue to put all the things they are learning together…stay tuned…
Hangtime Basketball Well Underway – 3rd -5th Grade
Hangtime Basketball for 3rd-5th grade just finished its 2nd week and there has already been some great basketball happening!! We have talked about how to encourage our teammates and are working hard to earn our “salsa points” for good sportsmanship and encouragement throughout the upcoming weeks. We also had our first night of 5-on-5 basketball games this past Tuesday which went really well – the kids are beginning to learn positions as well as continuing to work on those fundamentals – looking forward to lots more good stuff to report in the coming weeks…
Pray & Play Christmas Party – SO FUN!!!
Sunday night was our annual Christmas party for Pray & Play to wrap up 2010 – we had such a great time!! Kicking it off with a game of Fish Bowl, making Gingerbread Houses (winning house is pictured), ugly sweater contest won by Shianna Metzger, and a White Elephant gift exchange – it was a GREAT night of fun and food to celebrate the Christmas season!! Have a Blessed Christmas everyone!
I’ll Have Some Turkey With That Stuffing!!
We had a great time at our 6th annual Turkey & Stuffing Volleyball tournament!! This is the tournament that started it all, and even with a few less teams, the 5 teams that were there battled it out until Wounded Groin came away with the Trophy!! Congrats guys – thanks for all that came out and participated – it was some good volleyball!
Pumpkin Dodgeball was a BLAST!!
About 80 teens joined us this past Saturday night for a great night of Dodgeball!! In the end the Kings were victorious – great job guys! The Misfits were recognized for their great sportsmanship and effort throughout the tournament, too. We were challenged to PRAY – put it to the test – ask God to work in someone’s life, and see what happens – PRAYER WORKS!! It was a great night!
