The February weather continued to be a up and down roll coaster of mild and cold weather. The events at Skybacher Ministries were nothing but hot! Haha! Both of our February events had huge numbers and were very successful. First we held our Annual Someone Special Dance. It was the first time that we held it in the Freedom Middle School gym, and it was a good thing because we had the most participants ever! Parents, guardians, siblings, and all kinds of young people danced the night away to the Hokey-pokey, chicken dance, limbo, and more. It was an incredible event and we would like to thank everyone who participated in, made gift baskets, and made possible the dance! Thank you.
Also in February we once again hosted an event that has been around since Skybacher Ministries first started – The Great Big Group Valentine’s Date. For of us went down to SkyZone in Leetsdale for some trampoline dunking, bouncing, and dodgeball. After we had burned off enough energy we left to fill up on pizza, breadsticks and wings at Pizza Hut, all adding up to a truly Great and Big Group Date!!!
We spent the month of February at Pray & Play in a series called “Light Sabres” looking at the word of God as living and active! It was a great February, but we “March”ing on towards spring. Don’t forget this month we are having our annual 3-on-3 Slamrock basketball tourney on March 11th. Also we have a special Double night Pray & Play scheduled for March 13th. We will also have our March Madness bracket challenge. See you soon!
