December 2015 – No Snow – Ice and Lasers!

December brought some of the mildest temperatures we’ve experience in a long time.  That didn’t stop us at Skybacher Ministries from finding some cold and celebrating Christmas.  This December we hosted our 12th Annual Broomball Blizzard Tournament, and held our Pray & Play Christmas party at Laser Storm.

Broomball Blizzard – 8 teams battled it out on some of the slickest conditions we have ever faced.  There was no public skate beforehand to chew up the ice, so things were very icy!  That just increased the fun….and the danger!  At the break students were encouraged to hear that God knows the opposition they face, and with Him they can overcome it!  After the break it was onto the playoffs. In the end the Dream Team won it for the second year in a row. But not without a little overtime thriller against the seven seed Red Pandas.

Pray & Play – for the last Pray & Play of 2015 we went to Laser Storm for some good times and lots of laser blasting!  We filled the place of with 38 of us battling in the arena.  We had a dollar store gift exchange and were reminded that a Savior has been born so that we might be SAVED!  From whatever we need saved from – fear, doubt, opposition, addiction, depression!  A Savior Has Been Born!

Happy New Year everyone! It was an amazing 2015!  We can’t wait to see what God has in store for us and you in 2016!!!  Don’t forget the Cosmic Clash – blacklight dodgeball on Saturday Jan. 16th.
