November holds a special place in the heart of Skybacher Ministries. Not only is it the start of the holiday season, but it marks the anniversary of our first-ever tournament, the Turkey and Good Stuffing Volleyball Tournament.

During this year’s Cereal Bowl at Green Valley Park, we had 44 football players compete in 8 teams. Despite a chilly morning, all of the football action turned up the heat with many touchdowns and great plays being celebrated! We’re proud to share that the players also donated over 50 boxes of cereal for the Unionville United Methodist Church Food and Clothing Pantry. Congratulations to our three division champions: Shouted Out (high school/open competitive), the Black Beetles (middle school), and the Steel Broncos (elementary school).

Then on Black Friday, we had 48 people in 9 teams participating in the 13th Annual Turkey and Good Stuffing Volleyball Tournament. All the Thanksgiving meals eaten the day before didn’t seem to slow anyone down. The action was intense with several playoff match-ups going into a decisive third set, including the championship game between West Side and Ace in the Face. Congratulations to West Side for capturing the championship!

We are thankful for both the continuing traditions and the thirteen years of growth that God has blessed us with! “I thank my God every time I remember you.” -Philippians 1:3
