September 2015 – Off and Running

September saw the start of our 11th year of Pray & Play outreach.  It is crazy to think that some of the students that our seniors in the program now were just in kindergarten or 1st grade when we first began.  It has truly been a joy to watch them grow and become what God has made them to be.

Speaking of Pray & Play, we had a great start with over 30 people attending the very first night.  It was so good to catch up with everyone and hear about their summers and begin praying for their school year.

We also spent a day down at Geneva College, recruiting help from the college students for our programs and events.  We met many great people, and are hopeful that God will bless us with a few helpers for the new school year.

Speaking of help we also are very excited to welcome Lindsay Djuhadi as part of the Skybacher Ministries Inc. team.  Lindsay is a graduate of the University of Maryland with Bachelor of Science in Marketing.  She has been working as a Retail Operations Professional for Under Armour.  Lindsay is very passionate about sports, connecting with people, and building God’s kingdom.  We are so excited to welcome her.  Make sure you take time to introduce yourself and say hello, at an upcoming event.

We have a huge month in October coming up! Dodgeball Pumpkin Blast this weekend, The we start our HangTime Basketball League, and finally we end the month we our Family Fun Run 5k!
