November was a busy month! We held 2 different tournaments, celebrated our 11th birthday, and continued our Hangtime Basketball program!

Nov. 5th we hosted the 10th Annual Cereal Bowl!  3 middle school teams battled it out, and 3 high school teams fought as well.  Although the turnout for the event wasn’t what we had hoped for, it was an absolutely beautiful day for flag football!  On top of that we collected the most cereal we have ever collected in 35 boxes of cereal that were donated to the Unionville Food Pantry.

The Dream Team would fight hard and comeback from an early loss to take home the title of Cereal Bowl Champions! Congratulations.

Our Hangtime Basketball program started for the 6th year! This year’s theme has been The “Good Stuff” each session we have talked about a different “Good”, like “good friends”, “good choices” etc.  This year we have 16 in the 3rd and 4th grade and 32 in the 1st and 2nd.  We are excited about the growth of basketball, and the promise of “Good Things”!

Finally on Nov. 15 we celebrated our 11th birthday with the Annual Turkey & Good Stuff Volleyball Tournament.  This year 6 teams battled for the title but it was the Spikers that would take home the title!  It was a great mix of athletes, from 5th graders all the way up to Sr. Citizens!  A good time was had by all.  And everyone took a moment to give thanks for the rough times that God has brought them through.

This month we are collecting hats & gloves for care packages for Christmas.  The Broomball Blizzard is on Dec. 5th, and we will be having our Pray & Play Christmas party on Dec. 15th!  Have a great holiday!
