- Broomball Blizzard
Ice, brooms, dodgeballs, lasers, basketball, and a whole lotta fun! That’s what made up our December! On December 5th we hosted the 10th Annual Broomball Blizzard. We had 7 teams participate, and for the second straight tournament, it was “The Dream Team” who would win on a buzzer beater at the very last second! What a finish!. It was a great night of slipping, sliding, and scoring on the ice! Everyone was reminded not to be innkeepers, but make room for Jesus in our lives. And much like the innkeeper don’t worry about straightening up your life, but give him your mess!
Tonight and Thursday night we will close out another great year of Hang Time Basketball. The skills continue to improve each year of the program, and it was great to look at all of the “Good Stuff” in our lives, as we had themes of “good choices”, “good friends”, “good times” etc.
Finally we wrapped up our 2014 year of Pray & Play with a party at Laser Storm. 34 people blasted it out, with laser flying in every direction. We had some pizza, had a wacky gift exchange, and heard a Christmas message about how God will never stop pursuing us! It was a great way to close out the year!
We are excited about all that 2015 will bring, and grateful for the blessings of 2014
